I wouldn't be too worried about this.
Not a whole lot that actually affects the countries affects our dear boys in turn. And unless Hiramuya decides to kill us all and do his own breakup strip of their relationship, then they're totally still together. <3

Exactly; and even though (I'm bracing myself to be shot) it isn't canon YET, I'm sure he knows that the pairing is one of the, if not the most popular pairings in Hetalia, and fans probably keep up with it for the two boys.

I can see England shouting that at America and America just patting his head like 'you're so cute <3' ;;

I don't think Himaruya even knows that the relationship between the US and Britain actually had a name (since WWII, anyway). Or that he reads BBC.

Besides, it's not like they're canon, so there's nothing to break up. *shrug*

yup... they dont act as the though they're canon in hetalia (though they act pretty much the married couple sometimes or like mother and son)

I think he knows they're really close and good friends like japan and america but he didnt go to the iraq war did he?

Well, the official stance is that England and Japan are America's only two friends, so. (And then he writes England giving America chocolates for Valentine's and them being all tsuntsuntsundere towards each other... ^^;; ) But to be honest I don't think he would be interested in any more than general UST between them, or any other characters, to be honest. ^^;; (And I don't think he cares a lot about what people ship either.)

He didn't go into Iraq and all that (and I hope he's not going to, at least I don't think he wants to open thatcan of worms.)

yeah... I guess he likes to tease fans way too much

also with germany and italy... "once upon a time germany loved italy most in the world" but now he cant remember it and they're just friends... nothing anormal though sometimes it doesnt seem like it and what with sweden being homosexual... and acting like that towards finlad(even though the later doesnt seem to be into homo)

I guess... maybe he'll never write explicit shounen ai stuff... but we'll still make yaoi out of it XD

If I had a boyfriend, I wouldn't name my relationship something special!
Calling a relationship something like 'My Uber Awesome Totally Sextactular Relationship' doesn't mean the nature of the relationship is dependent on the title itself.
And year, S.R. sounds a lot better - it gives it meaning! - but a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Oh he won't, no worries. USUK is too popular. Not to mention, if he read every news article and did a strip for it, we'd be seeing the Health Care Reform, China and Google, Greece and his economy, and South Korea's sunken ship. I don't think he'll even notice this.

What I meant was that.. The term "Special Relationship" is like a, dunno.. A charm in Hetalia fandom, making USUK canon or something like that -shrugs- Makes me think they did go like "Lay off him, I claimed him already and it's official (Special relationship)!" -Tard-

It's best to not make strip that related to present event/time. That would no doubt become a problem xD;; Stick with gag and history would be the best.

It makes sense that it kind of makes it canon, since the term itself has been used for years to describe the same thing. But, I think that even if Churchill hadn't coined the term that all of the things that have happened between them would still have occurred, just without a name. But I get where you're coming from. FrUk fans (gag) don't have a title for the relations of France and the United Kingdom. Fans of USJapan (GAG) don't, either. USUK is the only pairing that really has its own title.

And I'm sure Hiramuya knows this and won't be making a strip of this any time soon ~ or any time at all. I'm not worried about it. (:

Somehow, I don't think so. At least, not all the event? It makes me as if UK were put in pressure to make decision when it comes to America because of that title, in which they try to respect? I still think the title means a lot. Imagining America nad England never had a title to begin with, it's almost like a normal relationship America has to every other european country. Only of course America and UK shares lot of common history/culture.

Ehhh... If it doesn't make sense, don't bother. I never really know what I write when I'm rambling o3o

Himaruya haven't been making much strips lately and it's making me sad~ D: The awesome art updates aren't enough to compensate the lack of strips~ o3o

What I think is funny that the visible comments are like "WOE" and "GAH, GUYS" while in the collapsed comments there's picture posting and sex talk. :D

Well, he's a realistic type tsundere (says I) so he won't go 'dere' very easily. :3 (And anyway, this "tsun" period has been going on for a while, so it may take a few decades for either of them to mellow out. :D)
