First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you who helped make this event a sucess. From the competitors, to those who commented and every one in between. As we were bringing our Summer Camp to a close, we'd received some requests for an Olympics-inspired event. So with a two-day weekend and a massive love of the Olympics, we whipped something up and hoped for the best. Thanks to all of you, it was amazing!

These olympics resulted in over 52 doujinshi being scanned, over 50 amazing fanfics being written, over 20 pieces of beautiful art being drawn, over 20 FSTs being made and a small but talented bunch of icon makers producing their best as well. All of you met the challenges with great enthusiam and we thank you for contributing this to our community!

The Olympics are about the world getting together and ours was no different. Together we celebrated USxUK and in the end, we're all winners here.

And so, it is with great honor, that I announce to you the medalists of our USxUK Olympic Games.

Grats to everyone!

Doujinshi scanathon was soooo intense- I scanned over 300 pages in the last 3 hours. lol One book I posted with 2 mins to spare.

Did I manage to achieve my goal of being the most decorated US/UK olympian? 8D

From: [identity profile] shadowfaeyre.livejournal.com

If you didn't win the most medals, I'd be amazed! It was hilarious looking through my inbox and seeing your name so many times. XD
Thanks for all of your hard work~ I can't believe you managed to compete in almost every event, how on earth you managed to do it....

From: [identity profile] kierwynn.livejournal.com

haha Turns out I did win! Most decorated US/UK olympian. 8D

Honestly? I have no idea how I managed to keep up with so many. lol I had to work and I was gone Friday evening/all day Saturday cause of various rl things. I'm still wondering how I managed. :la No way I'd be able to get away with that during the semester! lol

From: [identity profile] ty1407.livejournal.com

Wow im surprised at the artchery results XD but gold yay!~ Thanks so much for organizing this event ive had alot of fun! ^^

From: [identity profile] bobness1.livejournal.com

This was so much fun! ^^ Ah, I couldn't make it for the actual finals (unexpected hospital visits, resulting in me being ultra-super-duper sleepy and lacking proper means to type anything out), but it was still awesome! Congrats to all the finalists! =D

From: [identity profile] tierracielo.livejournal.com

Ive actually been wondering--! How exactly WERE the FST Freestyles judged? Its a thought thats been on my mind all week

From: [identity profile] illuweaver.livejournal.com

Wow, that's a pretty complex system. I'm glad that so many factors went into the decision, though, but I imagine judging took a while!

From: [identity profile] kurusa7227.livejournal.com

Whaaat?! I'm up there with those awesome people?! Thank you so much!

Congrats to everyone who participated! It was a lot of fun! I can't wait till the next one~

Oh gosh, grats everyone! It was really fun! :)

From: [identity profile] redblonde7.livejournal.com

Never done anything like it before but it was really fun! Thank you mods for everything that you did (because that must have taken an insane amount of organisation) and now I have so many new USxUK things to look at.

From: [identity profile] illuweaver.livejournal.com

Congrats to all of the medalists! There was such a wonderful outpouring of works in this competition, and it was so much fun seeing all of it.

For me, this was such a learning experience. I had never made FSTs before, and I picked up lots from listening to my fellow freestylers' works. I'm grateful that I can walk away with so much more knowledge, and proud we all finished.

Thanks everyone for making my first event such a blast! Go team USUK forever!!!

Congratulations to our Olympians! You all are upholding a fine old tradition. Apparently, aspiring artists and writers at one time could compete as well according to the August 11th Wall Street Journal. That was intense...
I spent 2 days of the Olympics on planes and coaches, one day at a doujinshi convention in Tokyo, and all the while suffering from jetlag - and yet I still was determined to go for gold. I am exhausted...
I find it funny that we all got so feverish about it. it's like say the word Olympcis and everyone suddenly gets so ambitious and determined. And that's the way it should be. I didn't know I had this in me, so the Olympics had done it's job once again!

Thank you for organising this great event!

I am so looking forward to going back adn checking out all those doujinshi and fics and gifs and pictures and so on. I was focusing on just getting my stuff done but now I an browse for days!!

From: [identity profile] j-sasunaru-c.livejournal.com

I really could say congratulations to all of you! BUT MOST TO THE SCANLATORS OMG THE MOST INTENSE FIGHT EVERRRR!!!!

To be honest, I had fun watching the comments in the doujinshi thread! It's like a rally!

From: [identity profile] shadowfaeyre.livejournal.com

Holy crap, how did I manage to tie with those amazing people? I feel so honored!
Congrats to everyone who participated! It was a lot of fun, and now we're flooded with all sorts of USUK goodness~ I still can't wrap my mind around how much fanwork that's been done in just one week; can't wait to go back and finally take a look at them all.

And thank you mods for managing to pull this awesome event together! Your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to everyone!

That was a lot of fun! I usually don't get to participate as I'm not a fic writer or an artist. And I am deeply impressed by the amount of scans everyone managed to do. Thank you mods for putting it together
