First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you who helped make this event a sucess. From the competitors, to those who commented and every one in between. As we were bringing our Summer Camp to a close, we'd received some requests for an Olympics-inspired event. So with a two-day weekend and a massive love of the Olympics, we whipped something up and hoped for the best. Thanks to all of you, it was amazing!
These olympics resulted in over 52 doujinshi being scanned, over 50 amazing fanfics being written, over 20 pieces of beautiful art being drawn, over 20 FSTs being made and a small but talented bunch of icon makers producing their best as well. All of you met the challenges with great enthusiam and we thank you for contributing this to our community!
The Olympics are about the world getting together and ours was no different. Together we celebrated USxUK and in the end, we're all winners here.
And so, it is with great honor, that I announce to you the medalists of our USxUK Olympic Games.

This event came down to a difficult theme and three entrants who had been replying with gifs all week. Our winners are:

This event was so intense, there was actually only one standing after finals. As such, we have also awarded our semifinalist!

These FST makers were hardcore, facing every challenge thrown at them and still adding in bonus tracks within the time limit.

[Doujinshi Scanathon]
This was actually the most intense of all the games, literally coming down to a scan-off in the final moments of the race! Thanks to these three, we now have over 1,000 new pages of doujinshi scanned!

[Art-chery]
This event came down to four at the final and the judges left with a difficult decision. Hours they deliberated, but it was just too close. As such, this event will have a FOUR WAY TIE for Gold. You guys were too awesome for us to decide!

[Fic Sprint]
Fic Sprint had a lot of devoted writers and a good majority made it to finals. Some of these writers knocked out over 3k words in a six hour time limit too! Great job to all of you!

Doujinshi scanathon was soooo intense- I scanned over 300 pages in the last 3 hours. lol One book I posted with 2 mins to spare.

Honestly? I have no idea how I managed to keep up with so many. lol I had to work and I was gone Friday evening/all day Saturday cause of various rl things. I'm still wondering how I managed. :la No way I'd be able to get away with that during the semester! lol

For me, this was such a learning experience. I had never made FSTs before, and I picked up lots from listening to my fellow freestylers' works. I'm grateful that I can walk away with so much more knowledge, and proud we all finished.

I spent 2 days of the Olympics on planes and coaches, one day at a doujinshi convention in Tokyo, and all the while suffering from jetlag - and yet I still was determined to go for gold. I am exhausted...
I find it funny that we all got so feverish about it. it's like say the word Olympcis and everyone suddenly gets so ambitious and determined. And that's the way it should be. I didn't know I had this in me, so the Olympics had done it's job once again!

I am so looking forward to going back adn checking out all those doujinshi and fics and gifs and pictures and so on. I was focusing on just getting my stuff done but now I an browse for days!!

Congrats to everyone who participated! It was a lot of fun, and now we're flooded with all sorts of USUK goodness~ I still can't wrap my mind around how much fanwork that's been done in just one week; can't wait to go back and finally take a look at them all.
