1- Volunteering to pinch hit is a commitment. You may be called upon on short notice to complete a piece. Ideally, all gifts will be posted by the twenty-fourth. I'm hoping that everyone that needs to drop will inform me as soon as possible (we'll have a checking in post at the end of November), and I'll be able to send their assignment out to a pinch hitter in time for it to be completed. But there's always a chance that people will drop without informing me. In that situation, I won't know until the twenty-fourth if I need to find a pinch hitter.
If you receive a pinch hit assignment after the twentieth of December, you'll have until the first of January to complete it.
If you receive one before that, it is due on the twenty-fourth of December, just like all the other gifts.
2- If I send you a pinch hit assignment, and you absolutely can't do it, please let me know as soon as possible so I can assign it to another person.
3- I will follow the 'giving' part of your form for assigning pinch hits, as well as any additional stipulations (i.e. cannot do it after this date) you gave for pinch hitting. As such, you will not be assigned anything above your max rating or featuring something in your 'will not work with' section.
4- It's after the first of December, and I didn't volunteer. I realized that I have more time than I thought I did. Can I sign up to pinch hit? Yes. Just let me know, and I'll add you to the list of pinch hitters. I would really like to know before the first though, if possible.
5- On the flip side, it's after the first, and I've realized that I cannot pinch hit. Again, just let me know. Please don't wait until I'm emailing you an assignment though. Let me know as soon as you can.
6- I didn't sign up for the Secret Santa, but I want to pinch hit! Can I do so?

If there are any additional stipulations you need to tell me that weren't in your original form, notify me of those. Otherwise, all you need to do is say something like "I can still pinch hit!"
I will put an asterisk by you once you've replied, and will formalize the list of pinch hitters on the first of December.

For personal reference, I will also be rescreening comments whenever I use one of the pinch hitters. I'll also be removing you from the above list when I use you.
