So Scott Freeman landed the role of Arthur Kirkland. This is Scott's first major roll and has been working as a background voice actor for a while with Funimation.

Youtube and FB is buzzing with comments and opinions and so it's our turn. What do you think of the English voice for England? (Or "Bri'en" as America seems to call him)

By the way, if you enjoy watching Hetalia online then I suggest you get the DVDs. It chalk full of extras including interviews with the Japanese voice actors.

Re: WAT

As for the Britain thing, I've noticed that many Americans have a habit of referring to the English as "Brits", but they don't call the Scots, Welsh or Irish that.

Hmm. You know, you're right. I wonder why that is?

Re: WAT

I was thinking that it might actually have some sort of historic reason behind it, though. Like, during the American Revolution, the term "Yankee" became a popular name for people in the colonies. Of course after the revolution, a lot of history happended in the US to where Yankee only refers to people in the North East. Today though, I could visit Britain and still run the risk of being called a Yank simply because I'm american (though I'm from the South, so that would... not be good).

Re: WAT

Originally Yankee only referred to people from Connecticut. I don't know when it we lost that privilege, but now the only thing we ever get called is nutmeggers.... the hell kind of name is that?
