Yeah, keeping watch closely on it, membership has risen at pretty much the same steady pace since about June. Once we hit a thousand, we averaged about 500 new members every two months. And... I'm going to cross my fingers that it keeps up like that, because seriously the fanbase for this ship is amazing, and it's always a joy to see it grow. I know it feels sometimes like the pairing gets a lot of flack, and it does, but on the flip side, there are a lot of new USxUK fans continually coming in. And people have such a genuine love for this pairing, and... okay now I'm just rambling. I think it really inspires fans though, for some reason.

I HOPE SO.

Well, Hetalia's gonna go for a third season, and there's the movie and man, there are still several us/uk-ish strips that are untranslated so I hope, keeping my fingers crossed as well, that this means we'll see more fans.

Ah, no matter how much flack this pairing gets (I suppose this is the price we pay for shipping a popular ship)(and how that depresses me), somehow something comes up and cheers me up.

BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP. AND TSUNDERES. /BRICKED

Yeah the canon is still giving, which is great. Plus, volume three comes out in March, and there's a decent chance that there will be some new material in it (even recent scanlations! I love the strip where England just happens to carry around ice cream just for America). And the anime has yet to animate a HUGE portion of the big USxUK strips (I admit, I'll be pretty disappointed if we never get Happy Birthday, the strip that sold me on the pairing in the first place).

It's definitely the inevitable repercussions of a popular ship, and it pretty much happens in every fandom. But there is so much awesome in this fandom, that it totally pwns the flack. XD

Yeah. It was hilarious, that ice cream strip! That England keeps some around for America, romantic or not, you could tell England cares for him. XD

(we didn't get Happy Birthday yet? this must be remedied immediately! I would love for the Buono San Valentino strips be animated as well. XD)

He just... carries it. WTH, England. So awesome, and it shows that he really does know him well.

I was also amused by France equating their bad taste to their lack of love (actually France was just lulzy in that period, wtfing at America and England being in their own little world). Because, well if they have bad taste together then... ;)

(I would love to see Buon, but I almost wonder if it's too slashy for the anime, and even more so, too full of pervy jokes. It would be AMAZING though. *crosses fingers.* But yes, Happy Birthday. They must realize it's a pretty popular strip? Weirdly enough, and this may not make sense to anyone but me, but I kind of see Battle for America, Cleaning Out the Storage, and Happy Birthday as a triptych, so I'm hoping for it for that reason as well.)

Yeah. I told oinkwarrior about that and she went WTH as well. Yep, he knows him well enough to have ice cream handy. America saying that the ice cream tastes great is just. D'aww.

Ahaha. France is like "Pay attention to me!" but the two was just oblivious to anyone but to each other and the ice cream.

(I suppose it is, and possibly its a bit incomplete. But we definitely have to have Happy Birthday. I mean, next to Cleaning Out the Storage, its one of the defining/shippy moments of these two.

Ahaha. The triptych makes so much sense. I think of these three as sort of the Historic Triangle ♥)
