Title: The Plagues (via the capture of NYC)
Artist: geministar01
Prompt: Song prompt: "The Plagues" from the Prince of Egypt

A/N: Sooo, every now and the I get it into my writer-brain that I can do artsy-things. In this case, my initial inspiration for this prompt was for a MAD, but I realized that (a) I was missing sections and couldn't brainstorm things to fill them, (b) couldn't draw anybody close enough on-model for my personal satisfaction, (c) have a movie-maker that is completely evil, and (d) couldn't finish the video by the deadline even with the extension.

So, here's all the art that I managed to create with my initial bit of inspiration. I hope it's not a disappointment, especially since my logic can be a little, uh, weird. ^.^;

Historical Context: In my mind, this is set sometime during the New York and New Jersey campaign (July 1776-March 1777), probably just after the British took New York City. In fact, the background of image 3 is from a woodcutting of the burning of New York following the American army's retreat.

Hello everyone! Firstly, I'm sorry the archive post hasn't been updated since 5/14. I went out of town and came back sick, so the idea of staring at coding kind of has me cringing. I'll get it updated once I start feeling better.

In better news though, there is going to be a slight extension on the Spring Fanworkathon! Originally it was to end on 5/30, this coming Monday. However, we're extending it a week. That means that instead of 5/30, the fanworkathon ends on Monday, 6/6. I hope this helps some of you out! :D

Also, remember that if you only have one prompt claimed, you are welcome to claim another. If and only if you have finished both of your prompts, you may claim a third. And lastly, if you haven't claimed any prompts, you can claim up to two. We have over sixty prompts left, so there are plenty for everyone. THE CLAIMS POST IS HERE!

Title: Do Thy Office, O Truant Muse (In two parts)
Characters/Pairing: USUK
Rating: PG-13 (language)
Genre: Fluff, romance
Word Count: 13,583
Warning: If you haven't watched S2EP20 of Glee yet, this fic is not for you. (Also, I DID NOT PLAGIARIZE FROM GLEE. I began writing this before that episode aired, and even then I re-wrote it. Mostly.)
Notes: I owe [livejournal.com profile] evilapple513 a TON. She beta'd this for me and made it much better, so I hope you enjoy! This kinda ran away from me, though, so I hope the gratuitous fluff makes up for it…! (At least I hope it's gratuitous fluff….) As Arthur's brothers make a brief appearance, I game them names. James (Scotland), Richard (N. Ireland), and Charles (Wales—he has a pet chameleon!). Other names, though I chose the popular choices, mostly, are Angélique (Seychelles), Emma (Belgium), Katyusha (Ukraine), and Mei (Taiwan). As for the music. The first song is Peacock by Katy Perry, and the second is Paradise By the Dashboard Light by Meatloaf.
Summary: A cruel, cruel joke is pulled on one Arthur Kirkland. The question is whether or not it will actually help him out. Based on the prompt: Arthur wins prom queen as a cruel joke meant to humiliate him, Alfred stands up to be his King even though he doesn't really know him.

Part One: Although … who would really vote for him to be queen?
Part Two: "Beget? Dude, what year are you actually from?"
