Summary: “The Long Goodbye” chronicles the inception of Alfred F. Jones until the end of the American Revolution where he rebels against his mentor and long-time companion, Arthur. In the first half of the game, Songs of Innocence*, Alfred and Arthur establish the colonies together by trading, battling off rivals and develop their fort. The second half of the game, Songs of Experience*, involves two wars: one against France in the Seven Years War, and the last against Arthur himself. The characters are not mine; they are based off of Himuraya’s work in the comic strip, Hetalia, which personifies countries. “The Long Goodbye” is designed to be a humble RPG akin to Suikoden.
