Oh, I wanted to run an idea by you. You said earlier that you wanted to do a rec thing for fics and stuff you liked...I kind of want to initiate something on the comm that would be like that, but people would post fic/art/gifs whatevs, they liked in a weekly/monthly manner. I was wondering if you would be interested in co-oping this at all? I still need to run it by the mods, but I think it would be fun and kind of help invigorate some of the authors/artists in the comm

And pretty much that exactly! I'm big in the Klaine fandom right now, and the LJ comm does this post each week where the members can rec fanfic/fanart or anything that relates to the characters in some way and share it with the comm.

Sounds like a good plan :|a For this comm, it seems like it would be better to do it every other week, or monthly. Otherwise it might lose drive rather quickly. Has to kinda do with how much gets submitted, too.

I know a friend and I had tried to set up a rec comm for usuk, but it lost enthusiasm and we were both kinda busy >.<;; so nothing happened ahaha

Seems like the lack of comments thing coincides with tumblr maybe? idk
Just seems like when I was yanked into tumblr a lot of other things just died.

Yeah, I was definitely thinking monthly for this comm...the Klaine comm is blessed with 4 mods that get along with each other and a VERY active fandom so the weekly rec works there. I was definitely thinking monthly here.

And this wouldn't really be a separate comm, it would be a post, probably equivalent to a mod post, to the comm itself each month.

Oh Tumblr...I don't have it so I have no idea XD. I just know a lot of peeps on my flist have been upset over lack of comments or love for their work and I think this, if it works, would maybe help them feel better XD.

I'm going to run it by the mods and see what they think and I'll let you know! I feel like we'd have to advertise wth we're doing before we initiate the rec posts XD

tumblr's not that great. Let no one tell you otherwise :P I don't think I've ever really gotten a lot of comments anyway, so I guess I never noticed? And the summer camp stuff... I didn't expect comments for anything in that month anyway. Too much going on.

Yeah, you'd definitely have to run it by the mods I believe.
