Favorite Hetalia characters: They've all grown me, but here are my top 6: **big breath** UK, USA, Canada, Greece, Prussia and Denmark.

Favorite Hetalia pairings: UK x USA, Greece x Japan, Gertaly, PruHungary, Austria x Hungary, France x Seychelles and Canada & Cuba (platonic though. Himaruya-san's portrayal of their friendship always tickles me!)

So, what's your favorite thing about America/England?: They share so much history together, they bicker and compete with each other but they fit so well comically together! Plus with the "special relationship", the two countries having influenced each other greatly in pop culture and language, and fighting side by side in wars, it looks true to me in real-life. Whether they are shown as family or lovers suits me either way.

What non-Hetalia fandoms are you into?: Legend of Zelda, Disney, Fruits Basket, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Bleach, Transformers, a lot of the cartoons from the 80s and 90s, Sonic the Hedghog (90s only) and a whole lot more!

Favorite ships/characters in those fandoms?: Link x Zelda, Tohru x Kyo

What do you post about in your journal?: Mostly my artwork - either illustrations or hand made plush dolls. There'll be snippets of my home life or which conventions I've been to.

What are you looking for in an LJ-friend?: (this can include anything from 'someone who'll comment' to 'someone to RP with' etc.) Someone who'll comment, it's always great when someone responds back to anything I've posted. I'm happy to chat and make new friends!

Hello! I'm afraid i'm not familiar with the name "mirdan" in the LOTR, but I'd love to know! Haven't read the books or seen the movies for a little while, it's about time I did though! :D

The word is plural and actually comes from Mírdain, which means "jewel-smiths" in Elvish. They were followers of Celebrimbor, the elf who made the Elven Rings of Power. They were also the elves who had that awful run-in with Sauron. So, in a sense, mírdan is the singular form. Back then LJ won't accept the accent so I got stuck with a usename without it. I picked it years ago because I liked the way the letters sat next to each other, orz.

I am not that geeky, I swear!

Ooh, very interesting! (for some reason I thought it might be to do with Mithril, oops!) I remember parts of The Silmarillion and that there were quite a few terrible run-ins between the Elves, Men and Morgoth & Sauron (it's the only book that made me weep!) I wouldn't say you're geeky, I'd say you're very dedicated and that's a good thing! :D

OMG, Star Wars is a given (see my username, heh) but I used to be all about the LOTR. I still love it, though I've been sort of inactive in the fandom the last couple of years.

I've picked up an issue or two of Fruits Basket, and just haven't read it yet.

May I add you as a friend? And no worries, I don't post too often myself, though I love to read other people's posts. :)
