Which just shows the difference of perspective between the countries re historic events. Can't always see eye to eye.

Well, yeah. Though at the time of the 1812 war Britain was sort of very much distracted by Napoleon, so it's no wonder they viewed the war with the US as just an annoying pain in the ass.
